Our beginner skateboard classes are just that, they are designed for beginners of all ages. All classes / lessons take place at PennSkate skate park. Our 2 main instructors are extremely experienced at teaching skateboarding and have been teaching skateboarding for over 5 years at PennSkate. We cover all basic skateboard tricks and skills along with basic board setup and maintenance, park etiquette, and proper safety fit.
Currently we have 2 different types of classes available, a group class or a semi-private class.

Next class is scheduled for Nov. 20th Class size is limited to 10, allowing for a low participants to instructor ratio. Classes are scheduled on Sunday mornings at 9am to 11am prior to the park being open, so you will be skating in an empty park. You must signup and pay for this class ahead of time to reserve your spot. Cost is $20 per person and does include your entry fee into the park for first session, which starts at 11am and allows you continue skating till 4pm. Cost also includes safety equipment, if you don't have your own. Your own skateboard is required! |
These classes are scheduled directly with the instructor and are done during normal park hours according to instructors availablity. The classes covers all the same things the group classes cover but also allows for a more direct focus on participant's needs and/or interests. Each classes is talored to the participant's skills, interests, and needs. Cost is $30/hour and includes your fee into the park.
